Mess Makers

Our boys love getting naked outside. I'm always inclined to let them run around without clothes because 1. it helps Kaden with potty training and 2. they always end up so dirty I can literally hose them down before they come inside.

Today they ate lunch outside on the deck and I started hearing their little mischievous laughter from inside. I know exactly what these little giggles mean--Kaden is doing something a little naughty and Zachary thinks it's pretty darn funny, which makes Kaden continue his naughty behavior a little more aggressively...I came out to find mac 'n cheese and raspberries all over the deck, along with 2 little naked boys covered in raspberries from head to toe. ("We were WRITING WITH THE RASPBERRIES, Mommy!!" Zachary told me proudly.) I told the boys that this is now babies eat, not big boys. "Oh! I didn't know you wanted to eat like babies! We'll get out the high chair and the booster seat tonight and we'll see if you can try eating like big boys at dinner." Sheeesh! This really did the trick! They are so distraught about having their "big boy" privileges taken away at dinner tonight that I'm pretty sure we won't have this issue again (for a week or two anyways!).
