Last week was a nice, "normal" week of summer for us. Steve was at Wildhorse again for 5 days and, thankfully, we had no big disasters to report in his absence like we did last month!
Last Wednesday, we went to Kids Day at the Park at Steel Lake Park in Federal Way. The Smiths and the Gordons joined us for a fun picnic, face painting, cotton candy and kids songs in the park. It was a really nice night and the kids had so much fun with their buddies!
On Thursday, we had a great visit with the Aasheims in Bellevue. Shannon has been a friend since college and Zachary just LOVES to play with her son Ethan. We used to get together pretty often, but with growing families and busier schedules we don't see each other very much anymore. It was a really fun day catching up with our old friends.
We had a couple of nice days with not much to do, so the boys enjoyed playing in the sprinkler and washing their car.
The boys were also busy building Fluffy and Bay's House. This is also known as "the biggest fort in the world." I am just happy it's in the playroom and not my family room! :)
