Many of you have been asking about Steve and how he's feeling these days...
We have been extremely blessed to be seeing Dr. Reedy in Auburn and he's been assuring us that things are "as they should be." Although he seems pretty much back to normal, he is still having difficulty remembering conversations and other things that aren't totally visual. With a frontal lobe brain injury it takes a bit longer to fully heal. If he had hit the side of his head he could have had other gross motor skills that were impaired but they would have healed faster. Steve is back to working full days and is no longer needing naps and tons of "cognitive rest." I've still been INSISTING that if he drives he doesn't talk on his phone at the same time, but today I lost that battle with him. If anyone would like to give him a call and tell him that I'm right I give you my permission! :) One interesting thing with this whole healing process is how parts of Steve's brain are even sharper and clearer than before. Dr. Reedy said this is also normal. I'm telling you, people, brains are WEIRD!

Steve looks like he's having the time of his life in that picture. He must have been at the best party ever when that picture was taken!
We're so glad to hear that he's doing better...AND that he might even be smarter after all this mess!! :) See?? Wakeboarding isn't all bad... :)
Praise the Lord Steve is improving! I am praying for his continued & full recovery. You're right though, the brain is REALLY weird! :)
Totally off the subject, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JENNY!! :)
