It's Been a GOOD Week!

We had a long weekend of yucky sickness, whiny toddlers and sleepless nights. The start of this week has been much more promising and just down right delightful!

Rylan Michael has FINALLY started sleeping 11 hours! (THANK YOU GOD!) We have been praying like crazy for this little boy to start sleeping through. I can't even explain how rested and energized Steve & I have been the last 2 days. It feels like nothing short of a miracle when I go to bed at 11:00 and don't wake up to crying, growing pains, fevers, nightmares, potty breaks or wet beds until 6:00 a.m. We are thankful!

Last weekend I spent over $100 on diapers and wipes at Costco (a mere 6-week supply). That's when I decided it's time to get serious about getting Kaden out of diapers and into undies! Kaden has been doing great...everytime he sits on the potty he goes. We're still working on him telling us when he needs to go, but we'll celebrate one small step at a time! And yes...I do realize that one day Kaden's going to be very upset with his mom for posting pictures of his "Mater Buns" on the INTERNET! (I just can't help myself...too cute!)

Zachary amazed me the other night. The boys have independent reading time in bed from 7-7:30 each night (that's what you get when your momma was a teacher!), and while I was getting Kaden set up in his bed I could overhear Zachary fluently reading his Jungle Book book. "It was a quiet day in the Indian jungle. Bagheera the panther was walking along the river. Suddenly the silence was broken by a strange sound..." He's been reading simple easy-reader for a while, but I was so surprised how well he did reading this harder text. He's getting to be such a big boy.
I love watching my baby boys mark these milestones. I am such a proud momma!
