Pumpkins and Pupcakes

Steve and I have been talking a lot about starting some fun, new, meaningful traditions with the boys. They are starting to get to that age where they can look forward (and backward) to the special things we do as a family. We thought an easy tradition we could start this year was making spice cupcakes (or "pupcakes" as Kaden calls them) and carving our pumpkins as a family. The boys were looking forward to it all weekend and it made for a really easy, great night as a family. Mission Accomplished!

Here's Kaden frosting his pupcakes.
Half the fun: eating more frosting from the container than you put on your treat!

My very precise, artistic boys hard at work making the world's coolest carved pumpkin.

Rylan doing his part: using the lid as a teether.

The final product--a cute pumpkin and clean, fresh boys in jammies!
