Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving

Four years ago our good friends JJ and Mike started a tradition called "Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving" where all of our old college friends get together for a full Thanksgiving meal together. It has since evolved into a weekend getaway with families, friends and food and has been a highlight for many of us during this season.

This year we headed back to Yelm where we once again had the wonderful blessing of staying this beautiful, huge LODGE for free! We packed out the place with 18 adults and 7 kiddos who happened to all be younger than five years old. (I know...it sounds a little chaotic but it wasn't too bad! They were soooo good and had a such a fun time playing together!)

It was a great weekend that really refreshed us. There were so many perfect moments for me--when we all sat around on big comfy couches with our spouses late, late on Friday night drinking wine, cracking up and playing games. When we went around the table during Thanksgiving dinner and shared what we were thankful for with tears in our eyes and the candles illuminating the table so perfectly. We really love these people a whole lot and are sure thankful for these friends that share life with us!
