Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving!

Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving has become one of our most cherished traditions over the last 5 years. Each year our oldest and dearest friends come together the weekend before Thanksgiving and we celebrate together by fixing a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner, laughing, watching old videos from our college days and talking, talking, talking. It's one of the most refreshing and fun weekends of our year. We love these people!

Pre-Thanksgiving is a family affair! The number of kiddos grows each year and the kids just have so much fun playing together. This year we had a...5, 4, 3 and 2-year-old...two 1-year-olds...and one 10-month-old! To keep our sanity we hired 2 babysitters for the entire day on Saturday. I managed to have SEVERAL uninterrupted conversations that day! (That's a small miracle in my life!) It worked out great and was so relaxing!
Here's some of us Mommas delivering our children's food to them upstairs in the bonus room where they were being watched. Meanwhile, we got to eat our meal downstairs with adults! (Do you know how exciting that was?!)

Mike & Becka flew in to be with us all this weekend! We have missed them so much! It was just so good to be with great friends again!

JJ & Lisa are really the ones that get the credit for starting this fabulous tradition and we were so glad they came all the way from CANADA to continue the tradition with us this year! They organize all of the food for the group and they are also the ones that make the delicious turkey each year. Thanks Kissingers! Here's the picture of what most of the weekend looked like...relaxing!
