We made Snowman sock guys. Zachary's guy is "Snowy"....Kaden's guy is "Go-ey."
Zachary posed Snowy for a few pictures of him doing some snowman activities like taking a nap and reading a book. So cute.
Zoo lights was another special activity. It was insanely busy and I dressed the boys WAY TOO WARM so they were sweating and dying of thirst by the end of the night, but overall it was pretty fun.
We made Christmas trees out of upside-down sugar cones and green frosting. This was a really fun treat after lunch. This gets my vote for the perfectly manageable, fun, yummy, age-appropriate, not-too-many ingredients activity. Loved it!
One of our family activities was heading to Zachary's Winter Concert at school.
Are these not the cutest little reindeer you've ever seen?
And of course one of our special activities was making gingerbread houses. Steve was actually in charge of this one since I was gone and it was deemed a "boys night" in our home. I was so impressed to come home to such amazing works of graham crackers and frosting!

LOVE that you are doing this. We decided to do something very similar this year, too. Sort of a different twist on the ole' Advent Calendar. Only...we were a bit late starting and once or twice the kids have gotten a treat instead of doing an activity together. We'll be doing it again next year! Love the pictures of your kiddos. What handsome boys you have.
I love these ideas! I especially like the Christmas tree cones! I might do that one this year. What a fun idea!
How great that you are doing this! My mom did this with us growing up and I have great memories of the whole month of December, thanks to her! And this way, it wasn't just the presents on Christmas day that were special during that time of year. What a great idea!
What a cute idea, Jenny! So creative...and I'm totally stealing this in the years to come! :)
very impressive! the boys must be lovin' life ;)
