Drink Your Veggies

I know this looks pretty gross but trust me when I say that these
yogurt, banana, spinach smoothies are
yum-yum!
We do yogurt and banana smoothies for lunch two or three times a week and then I read on Jamie Coatney's blog that she throws in a handful of spinach into her smoothies (brilliant!). She claimed that you couldn't taste the spinach and SHE'S RIGHT. The banana-y taste overpowers the spinach-y taste and our whole family sucks down our veggies like it's nothin!

The best part:
It gives me more energy than my double-shot mochas I've been relying on
Super-duper easy lunch for everyone just thrown right into a blender (even Ry eats them)

I highly recommend! :)

Yum! I read on Jamie's blog too that they were good. I am so not a adventuresome food creator, so about how much of everything do you put in your smoothies? I would like to give it a try sometime. ~Shirley

I second the opinion about Jaime's suggestion for the spinach! I tried it with our breakfast banana/strawberry/bluberry smoothies and they are delicious!!! Great energy- I agree!

I've been trying to get brave enough to try the spinach thing (I read Jamie's blog too)....I'm going to try it this morning since everyone has insisted you can't taste it. And I could certainly use the energy boost! Though maybe it's not a good plan to give it to our kids!!! :)))))))

Okay, now I have to try it as well. I have a smoothie for lunch almost everyday because it's easy to leave and come back to if I get interrupted. I'll let you know what I think...

I did it!!!! I can't believe that you can't even taste it but wow, it's true. I had banana, yogurt, oj, strawberries and spinach. YUM - it's a do-over for sure!

Just reporting back in -- I tried adding spinach to my daily smoothie yesterday, and couldn't even taste it!

Now, one of the girls at my Bible study does kale, carrots, and a whole bunch of veggies -- I don't know that I'm to that point yet!
