We have started "school time" since Zachary has been out of school. Once Ry goes down for a nap the big boys sit down after lunch for a little bit of learning time with Mommy.
As you can see, Zachary loves school time with Mommy. He's taken up an interest in learnng cursive and Spanish, so we're going to have some fun with that.
Kaden, on the other hand, does not love school time. We're working on reading and writing his name with a fun little magnet board and letters as well as his own little white board. I'm trying to make this fun for him but, as you can see, he does not appreciate my efforts! I thought we would work on letter sounds, but he completely shocked me the other day when I was "quizzing" him and he knew all of them already! (I'd like to thank "Word World" on PBS for that. Really, it's a GREAT learning show for kids!)

You are SO amazing! I am so, so impressed with your school time with the boys. If only I had that kind of organization! I am barely managing weekly craft days.
You inspire me... I may have to have something like this during the summer... a much, much abbreviated version, of course!
Can my kids come spend a month with you?
This picture absolutely made me laugh out loud! Your boys are so different, yet such good little buds. It's precious.
Way to be with the school time...Hailey is lucky if I get in the suggested 15 minutes of reading a day! What an inspiration you are... :)
Hope loves Word World too! I record that and Super Why for her to watch during my clean up time!=0)
Cracking up over the difference in the two pictures!!! :)))
I agree, you are amazing - you go girl!
Funny pictures of Zach and Kaden..its so funny how two kids from the same parents can be so different...
i have to agree that wordworld is a great show! ...but can you stop making the rest of us moms look like complete slackers?! cursive already?! wow! my "teaching time" with anders includes things like chocolate chips, flour, eggs... maybe i'll have to get a little more academic this summer ;o) thanks for the encouragement!
Don't be overly impressed! We really only spend about 10-15 minutes doing this and we really don't get around to it every day! My Kaden can only handle so much "school!"
