Kandoo....without

Consider this my version of a "Mommy Public Service Announcement." I have been a big fan of the Kandoo Toddler Flushable Wipes for potty training kiddos. They're smaller than baby wipes and they say they break down when flushed down the toilet, which is super convenient for toddlers who are still learning how to get extra clean after using the potty but don't want to be wiped with baby wipes.

Well, after the kids' bathtub and our shower starting filling up with sewer water (if you know what I mean) and our toilets also being clogged, we realized that we had a huge-and very gross-plumbing problem on our hands. After close to $500 in repairs, an upstairs that smelled like the sewer, and a mommy that was up to her armpits in poop cleaning bathrooms, the plumber finally informed us that our main plumbing line was clogged with these "flushable" wipes. He also said that not only do they not disintegrate when flushed, but they harden after time...and I know that it's true because I saw it with my own eyes!
So, there you go. Beware of truth in advertising! We learned the hard way!

OH MY GOSH!!! I am so glad you told us about this. I seriously have thought a few times recently to get these for Emily! Without this information we would be up to our armpits in yucky stuff too!!! Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear that you had to go through this. YUCK! ~Shirley

Sounds like you need to contact the wipes company on this one!! How awful!!! Is there any "guarantee" on the box that they melt away? That is just sick!! I'm so sorry this happened to you!!

That is good info to share!! I am so sorry you had to find it out the hard way. (I really might consider complaining to the company. It can't hurt to write a letter or make a phone call and just let them know how bad your experience was...and that you are passing that info on.)
