Our time here has been flying by! We're already on Day 4 of the second week. The weather has finally returned to a much, much more bearable 95 degrees. The last few days when it was so hot we hardly left our room. We couldn't walk from building to building without getting sweaty and sticky. Yuck. Zachary has mastered jumping off the diving board. He doesn't want anybody in the water to "catch" him because he's so confident in the water. For those of you that know Zachary you know that he loves to do cool "tricks." He's come up with a few tricks off the diving board like the "cannon FOOTball" and the "Cannon Mountain" (this is where he rolls up like a ball, but his arms make a mountain over his head). It's very cool and very impressive! Crazy baby is calming down a little bit. The really sad news is that we managed to lose both of his pacifiers in one day, so falling asleep for him has been a long, sad process the last few nights. We figured we would just break him of his little binkies since they are gone anyway but someone is going in to town today and they are grabbing us some. I think everyone will be happier that way...
Last night after dinner Zachary snuck out of the dining hall with one of his friends. We couldn't find him for the longest time. We weren't worried that he was lost (that's almost impossible here), but there have been a lot of scary "wildlife" sightings around camp. Last week we saw a big rattlesnake right a the pool after dinner and there have also been 2 cougar sightings near camp. We really are in the middle of nowhere out here!
I have been feeling good and am so, so thankful for everyone back home praying for me. I'm tired, but I've been tired for a long time since having kids! Thank you for all of your encouragement. It really means a lot to us!
